The Fabbrica C collective is looking for new ways of staging that cross the border between circus and other art forms
The Fabbrica C collective was formed in March 2016 by five performing artists, in response to the primary need to seek new ways of staging that cross the border between each discipline.
Fabbrica C artists all come from different backgrounds: contemporary circus, contemporary dance, performance, video art and have worked in the most diverse areas of live performance production, from choreography to interpretation, from artistic to technical directing
The artistic and creative core of Fabbrica C is grounded on previous professional education at the Flic School in Turin, but also at Le Lido – Centre des Arts du Cirque in Toulouse and the Fontys Dance Academy FHK in Tilburg.
All these experiences and the mutual esteem in which they are held have driven the artists of Fabbrica C to constant collaboration, with the aim of creating a common ground. Apparently antithetical backgrounds can coexist, where the classification of the end result flows beyond the stereotype, leaving room for the birth of new practices that in time engender new scenic languages
